Dear students, dare to be multilinguals (or at least bilinguals)
I know that English is a difficult subject for some of you. And those who did not pass the last course are afraid of my lessons, because they think that they are not good at English. Well...this is completely false.
We all can learn new languages. It is a fact. We just need to believe in ourselves and give it a try. If you don't trust yourself, who will? You should try and then will see the results at the end of the course...
Practice makes perfection. The more you try, the better you are.
Have a look at this guy and pay attention. We will discuss about bilingual and multilingual people in the next class.
Yes, I know it is unbelievable! But if he can speak more than 20 languages, be sure that you can speak at least 2. Challenging, right?
Things to be taken into account for the classroom debate:
- What is his original mother tongue?
- Why did he learn so many languages?
- How did he learn them?
- What kind of languages does he speak? Do they have something in common?
- Do you understand him when he speaks in Spanish? And in other languages?
- Why do you think that some people speak so many languages and some don't?
Enjoy the video and start practising. It's all up to you.
